As Crônicas de Gelo e Fogo, a série de romances fantásticos de George R. R. Martin, é a base de um grande número de obras derivadas, com ou sem autorização do autor.

Adaptação para a TV

Em Março de 2010, HBO deu a luz verde para uma série de televisão baseada em As Crônicas de Gelo e Fogo, com David Benioff e Dan Weiss como autores e produtores executivos. [1] Chamada de Game of Thrones, ela tem como atores Sean Bean, Peter Dinklage, e Lena Headey. [2] A série, no início, cobria um romance inteiro por temporada, e estreara em 17 de Abril de 2011. [3] Game of Thrones fora recebida pelos críticos extremamente bem, e criara um grupo de fãs leal. Em 19 de Abril de 2011, após ir ao ar apenas um episódio, HBO anunciara que renovara Game of Thrones para uma segunda temporada. [4] Em 10 de Abril de 2012, HBO anunciara que renovara a série para uma terceira temporada. [5]

Jogo de cartas

  • A Game of Thrones é um jogo de cartas colecionáveis (CCG) produzido pela Fantasy Flight Games. Várias Coleções foram lançadas para o jogo, cada uma com várias Expansões. O designer do jogo é Eric M. Lang, e o desenvolvedor-chefe é Nate French. O A Game of Thrones: Westeros Edition venceu o Origins Award na categoria Best Trading Card Game of 2002. O Game of Thrones: Ice and Fire Edition venceu o Origins Award na categoria Best Card Game Expansion or Supplement of 2003. É um projeto em andamento, e já possui dez séries de pacotes, e mais de 60 Expansões. No dia 23 de Janeiro de 2013, o jogo foi lançado no Brasil pela Galápagos Jogos, sob o nome de A Guerra dos Tronos: Card Game.

Jogos de tabuleiro

  • A Game of Thrones é um jogo de tabuleiro de estratégia, criado por Christian T. Petersen, lançado pela Fantasy Flight Games em 2003. O jogo, ganhador do prêmio Origins Aqard, permite aos jogadores exercerem os papéis de várias das Grandes Casas, lutando pelo controle dos Sete Reinos, incluindo Casa Stark, Casa Lannister, Casa Baratheon, Casa Greyjoy, Casa Tyrell e, desde a expansão A Clash of Kings, Casa Martell. Os jogadores movem seus exércitos para dar apoio às várias regiões que constituem os Sete Reinos, com o objetivo de capturar apoio o suficiente para tomar o Trono de Ferro. Duas expansões para este jogo, A Clash of Kings e A Storm of Swords, foram lançadas.

Em Outubro de 2011, uma segunda edição, revisada, foi lançada pela Fantasy Flight Games, com algumas mudanças, como um novo tabuleiro, e a expansão A Clash of Kings já incluída no jogo. Uma expansão, A Dance With Dragons, foi lançada.

  • Battles of Westeros, o segundo jogo de tabuleiro sobre As Crônicas de Gelo e Fogo, foi lançado pela Fantasy Flight em 2010. [6][7] Battles of Westeros é, de fato, um jogo de guerra, portanto muito mais orientado taticamente do que o jogo de tabuleiro. Cinco expansões já foram lançadas.

RPGs

  • A Game of Thrones Roleplaying Game, criado em 2005 pela extinta Guardians of Order e publicado pela White Wolf, é um jogo de RPG, usuário do sistema d20 e do sistema de regras and the TriStat dX. O jogo consistem em um único, grande, e totalmente colorido livro de regras, com informações sobre a interpretação de papéis nos Sete Reinos, e informações sobre a série que não são encontradas nem nos romances, incluindo um detalhado mapa dos Sete Reinos. O jogo, apesar de ter sido bem recebido e nomeado para vários prêmios, não foi o suficiente para evitar que sua companhia criadora fechasse em Julho de 2006.

Video games

  • Game of Thrones:MMORPG (in development), A browser-based, massively-multiplayer role-playing game, announced in February 2012. Developed by Bigpoint Games. The design and the pre-production phase of the game began last summer, and an initial closed beta is planned for fall 2012.

Publicações

  • The World of Ice and Fire, "The World of Ice and Fire", is a companion volume to the A Song of Ice and Fire novels. The book is being written by Elio Garcia and Linda Antonsson in consultation with George R.R. Martin and will be published in the USA by Bantam. No release date is yet set.
  • The Art of Ice and Fire, This book, published in 2005 by Fantasy Flight Games, contains numerous works of art inspired by the series from a variety of different artists and illustrators. Some of the art previously appeared in the card game or on-line, but most of it was new. A second volume was released in 2011.
  • A Feast of Ice and Fire: The Official Companion Cookbook to A Game of Thrones by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel, and Sariann Lehrer, the owner of the Web Site Inn at the Crossroads, is a cookbook of recepies of dish and meals from Westeros and Essos including the dish presented in the five books of A Song of Ice and Fire. There is a forward by George R. R. Martin. It will be released on May 29, 2012.
  • A Game of Groans In August 2011, Thomas Dunne Books, announced that it has acquired the rights to "A Game of Groans," a jokey take on Martin's best-selling novel. Desccription: A parody of George R.R. Martin's bestselling A Song of Ice and Fire series, set in a world where seasons can last decades (and comparisons to Tolkien a lifetime), the warmth is returning, and in the thawing tundra to the North of Summerseve, the future of the Bark family, their BFFs, and their enemies dangles in the balance, to Peter Joseph at Thomas Dunne Books, by Jason Allen Ashlock at Movable Type Literary Group (World).
  • Beyond the Wall, It's a book based on the series in a thematic sense, a collection of essays, exploring the series influences, its challenging narrative choices, and the pull of its stunningly epic scope. It will be released in June 2012.

Colecionáveis

  • A Song of Ice and Fire Calendar, Yearly calendars providing unique drawings for each month of the year has been published in 2011 and 2012 and are expected to be released in 2013 and 2015/2016 contracted by Random House.
  • Miniatures, Testor Corporation announced that in late 2006 it would begin releasing model figures based on the series, to be followed by a tactical wargame. Only one product shipped, a Ruby Ford diorama. In April 2007, Martin announced that the licensing agreement with Testor had expired, and Testor's A Song of Ice and Fire product lines had been canceled.[8] In December 2006, Haute Productions signed a deal to release a range of resin mini-busts featuring characters from A Song of Ice and Fire under the name Valyrian Resin. The company plans to expand the line to include resin statues and pewter chess sets.[9] On August 13, 2007, Dark Sword Miniatures announced a line of premium pewter miniatures based on the world of George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire and sculpted by renowned miniatures artist Tom Meier.[10]
  • Weapon Replicas, On March 20, 2007, George R. R. Martin announced on his blog[11] that he had "signed a deal with Jalic, Inc of East Lansing, Michigan, granting them a license to manufacture and sell full-sized high-quality replicas of the arms and armor from A Song of Ice and Fire", under the name Valyrian Steel,[12] starting with the bastard sword Garralonga wielded by Jon Snow. As of early 2009, Jalic has had Arya Stark's Agulha from "A Song of Ice and Fire" on pre-sale. Both Needle and Longclaw are currently listed and available in a Limited Edition of 2,500 each.
