Tycho Nestoris is a tall gaunt stick of a man with long legs and a beard as thin as a rope from his chin and almost reaching his waist. He had a narrow face. He wears a brimless three-tiered hat of purple felt, robes of a sober purple trimmed with ermine and a high stiff collar.

He comes to Castelo Negro with Queen Selyse. Lorde Jon Snow negotiates with him for the use of his ships for a voyage and a loan to purchase food for the winter while the Patrulha da Noite would provide him guides to reach Stannis.[1]
He travels to Bosque Profundo were he paid a ransom for the homens de ferro which Lady Sybelle Glover accepted for the king. He then went through the snow to Winterfell looking for Stannis. Stannis was not there, he found Mors Umber outside the gates with some green boys. He takes Theon Greyjoy and Jeyne Poole, who were there after their escape from Winterfell. Eventually after three days they arrive at Stannis's camp in a village.[2]

Tycho is brought before Stannis and the two sign an agreement, with Stannis acknowledging the Iron Throne's debt to the Iron Bank and Nestoris agreeing loans to Stannis. Stannis has Sor Justin Massey escort Tycho and "Arya Stark" back to the wall. Then, Ser Justin is to accompany Tycho back to Braavos.
