Jardins de Água
The Jardins de Água is a palace with gardens and waterworks that is the private residence of the rulers of Dorne. That is located on a beach next to the sea, three leagues to the west of Lançassolar on a coastal road. [1]
The Jardins de Água were raised by Príncipe Maron Martell as a gift for his new bride, Princesa Daenerys Targaryen, to mark the union of Dorne to the rest of the Sete Reinos. [2] Pale pink marble paves the gardens and courtyard, terraces overlooking the numerous pools and fountains of the Jardins de Água, shaded by blood orange trees, can be reached by fluted pillars gallery leading to a triple archway. [1]
The Jardins de Água are pleasant in autumn: hot days, cool nights, the salt breeze blowing in from the sea, and fountains and pools to admire and play in. [2] The noble families and the children from all ranks and areas of Dorne, send their children to the Jardins de Água to foster, where they would play together at the beach, pools and fountains and the in the water. [1]
