A Casa Baratheon de Pedra do Dragão é um ramo mais novo da Casa Baratheon de Ponta Tempestade. Sua sede fica em Pedra do Dragão, uma ilha que fica fora do continente, a nordeste de Porto Real. Seu fundador e atual chefe, é o Rei Stannis, que tomou a ilha no final da Rebelião de Robert. Originalmente, Stannis usou o veado coroado dos Baratheon, mas durante a Guerra dos Cinco Reis, ele criou seu próprio brasão, um coração vermelho rodeado por chamas cor de laranja sobre um fundo amarelo-vivo. No interior do coração entra-se retratado o veado coroado da Casa Baratheon, de negro. Na hora da Batalha de Castelo Negro, ele aparentemente juntou o brasão com o tradicional da Casa Baratheon, um veado preto em uma folha de ouro martelado".

História

Foi formada em 283 DP após a Guerra do Usurpador quando o novo rei, Robert I, nomeou seu irmão mais novo, Stannis, Príncipe de Pedra do Dragão. Stannis tomou o título como uma desfeita, já que ele preferia as terras ricas de Ponta Tempestade, o castelo ancestral dos Baratheon, mas Robert queria uma forte líder na sede antiga da Casa Targaryen. Por volta de 287, Lorde Stannis tomou Selyse Florent como esposa. Durante a Rebelião Greyjoy de 289, Stannis, como Mestre dos Navios de Robert, liderou a frota dos Baratheon a vitória na Batalha da Ilha Bela. Após isso, Stannis e Selyse conceberam a filha deles, Shireen, apesar de seu casamento permanecer sem amor.

Eventos Recentes

Stannis foi o primeiro a suspeitar que as crianças da Rainha Cersei não eram de Robert. Apesar de as pobres terras de Pedra do Dragão apenas permitirem um pequeno apoio por sua causa, a religião e a mágica dee Melisandre de Asshai deu foco à causa de Stannis, permitindo o assassinato de seu irmão, Renly e assim conseguir a maioria de seus vassalos. A religião vermelha virou um ponto de conflito entre as casas juramentadas e seus senhores de Stannis, com os defensores e ferventes crentes, chamados Homens da Rainha, e os que protestavam, Homens do Rei. A luta da casa contra a Casa Baratheon de Porto Real foi negada após a Batalha da Água Negra, forçando Stannis a se retirar. O apoio da família de Selyse, a Casa Florent, tem sido importante para Stannis, mas ele se ressente de sua intromissão. Ele então viajou para a Muralha e venceu a Batalha de Castelo Negro, começando sua campanha para conquistar o Norte. As forças do Trono de Ferro tomaram Pedra do Dragão, e a Companhia Dourada ameaça Ponta Tempestade.
