Produção
House of the Dragon foi oficialmente renovada para uma segunda temporada em 26 de agosto de 2022, cinco dias após a exibição do piloto da série.[1]
Em 31 de agosto de 2022, Miguel Sapochnik anunciou que não retornará como co-showrunner e diretor para a 2ª temporada. No entanto, ele permanecerá como produtor executivo da série. Ryan Condal será o único showrunner da série e continuará a trabalhar em estreita colaboração com George R. R. Martin. O veterano diretor de "Game of Thrones", Alan Taylor, foi contratado pela HBO para ser diretor e produtor executivo da segunda temporada.[2]
A produtora executiva Jocelyn Diaz não retornará para a segunda temporada. Sara Hess e Vince Gerardis mantêm-se como produtores executivos, no entanto.[3]
Produção
A segunda temporada está programada para começar a ser filmada em março de 2023 e não deve ir ao ar antes de 2024.[4]
